Ardoin named to Wendy’s Heisman list

Ville Platte High Senior Tight End and Tulane commitment, Kendall Ardoin, has been named as one of the hopefuls for Wendy’s Heisman list in Louisiana. A total of  20 candidates are selected for the possibility of winning the award. 

The scholar-athletes for the chance of winning in Louisiana and then advancing and becoming a national winner. Ardoin is the only candidate from the Acadiana area. On November 4th, one male and one female will be named a state winner. Of those state winners, 12 will be selected as National Finalists and go on to compete for the national prize in New York City on December 13th.  

Finalists are featured on a national televised ceremony on ESPN, receive medals and a $2000 award for their schools. The national winner receives a Wendy’s Crystal Ball Trophy, $500 Gift Certificate to Wendy’s and Wendy’s will donate $10,000 to each winner’s respective high school. 

Winner of the National Awards will be recognized on Wednesday, December 14th on ESPN.
