Lenes Paul Joubert

ST. LANDRY - Funeral services will be held for Lenes Paul Joubert, 84, of St. Landry, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 18. Burial will follow in the St. Theresa Catholic Church Cemetery in St. Landry.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Mr. Joubert died Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at his residence. He was a true outdoorsman, he was an avid hunter but he also had a soft spot for all animals. He made his living farming and he always worked tirelessly to support his beloved family.
Survivors include the love of his life, his adoring wife of 62 years, Lorene Guillory Joubert of St. Landry; and their children, Stephen Paul Joubert and his wife, Yare, of Poza Rica, Mexico, John David Joubert and his wife, Kyla Claire, of St. Landry, Janice J. Helmer and her husband, Bobby, of Bayou Chicot, Martha J. Jenkins and her husband, Joey, of Breaux Bridge and Diana J. Taylor and her husband, William, of Lafayette. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of the 13 grandchildren he was blessed with, Tony Jenkins, Julie Paul, Brandy Baudoin, Paul Joubert, Dr. Jessica Brady, Dr. Kyla Joubert, John Taylor Joubert, Brittany Catoire, Benjamin Joubert, Katherine Taylor, Kyle Taylor, Emily Joubert and Heather Joubert. He was further blessed with eight great-grandchildren. They were the absolute light of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel and Regina Guillory Joubert; two brothers; and four sisters.
At the request of the Joubert family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning at 4 p.m., Saturday, May 17, and will continue until 9 p.m., and again from 12 noon, Sunday, May 18, until the time of the services. A Rosary will be recited, in his honor, Saturday evening at 7 p.m.
Rev. Joseph Jenkins will officiate.
