Terry Carlton Thrasher

TURKEY CREEK - Funeral services were held for Terry Carlton Thrasher, 60, of Turkey Creek, at the First United Pentecostal Church of Turkey Creek at 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 19. Burial followed in the Turkey Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Thrasher died Sunday, February 16, 2014, in the Crooked Creek community. He was born on December 2, 1953, in Ville Platte to the union of Otis and Muriel Marie Clark Thrasher. He was a heavy equipment operator and truck driver. He was a loving son, husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
Survivors include his mother, Muriel Clark Thrasher of Turkey Creek; his wife, Sue Dixon Thrasher of Turkey Creek; two sons, Derrick Thrasher and his wife, Lelia, of Turkey Creek and William “BeBe” Thrasher and Tonya Guillory of Turkey Creek; two sisters, Carolyn Sharp and her husband, Donnie, of Walker and Sandra King and her husband, Bo, of Turkey Creek; six grandchildren, Lucas Thrasher, Eudora Thrasher, Sophie Thrasher Book, Sydnie Thrasher Book, Ella Thrasher and John Thomas Thrasher; and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Otis Thrasher; and one son, Chad C. Thrasher.
Pall bearers honored to serve were Kevin Clark, Jason Dixon, John Thrasher, Jarrad Johnson, Buddy Fontenot, Duane Meylian, Mike Fontenot and Farley Blood.
Revs. Jeff Wainwright, David Messer and Cody King officiated.
White Oaks Funeral Home of Oakdale was in charge of arrangements.
