LAFAYETTE – Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Branch for Rodney Guidry, 74, who made his glorious transition Monday, April 14, 2008 at Acadia St. Landry Hospital in Church Point. 
Rev. Craig G. Gregory will conduct the services.
He was a native and longtime resident of Branch. Mr. Guidry worked as a farmer and retired after successfully completing 35 plus years.
He is survived by one brother, Albert Guidry (Elzia)

He was a native and longtime resident of Branch. Mr. Guidry worked as a farmer and retired after successfully completing 35 plus years.

He is survived by one brother, Albert Guidry (Elzia); brother-in-law, Hurley Provost of Dayton Texas; four daughters, Glodebra Cluse (Aaron) of Branch, Stephanie Breaux (Jerry) and Senetra Guidry of Rayne, and Shaviun Guidry of Garland, Texas; two sons, Rodney Guidry (WillieMae) of Clarksville, Tenn. and Reginald Guidry (Connie) of Rayne; 10 grandchildren and three godchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family would like to give special thanks to Betty Given (special friend) of Crowley.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Jules Guidry, and one sister, Annabelle Provost.

Viewing hours will be from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Branch.

Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Syrie Funeral Home of Lafayette is in charge of the arrangements.
