Johnson to compete at Jr. PGA

Pine Prairie native Julia Johnson will be competing in the Junior PGA Championship, to be held this week August 9-12, 2016 at Wannamoisett Country Club in Rumford, Rhode Island.
Johnson is among 78 girls that will compete for this prestigious title.
The Junior PGA Championship is where the best in the world get their start. The Championship celebrates its 41st anniversary in August 2016. Established in 1976, at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla., the Championship has been a popular stop on the national junior circuit for many of today’s PGA and LPGA touring professionals.
Johnson, a senior at the Math and Science Academy in Baton Rouge had committed to Ole Miss.
