Mr. DeRouen, Miss Fontenot plan September nuptials

The engagement of Miss Jennifer Marie Fontenot, the daughter of Ms. Karen Buller Fontenot of Ville Platte and the late John David Fontenot, to Mr. Patrick Elby DeRouen, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick DeRouen Jr. of Ville Platte, has been announced by their parents.
The couple will exchange wedding vows Saturday, September 20, 2014, during a 6:30 p.m. ceremony at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte.
Miss Fontenot, whose mother is the former Karen Buller of Ville Platte, is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Buller and the late Mr. and Mrs. Winston Fontenot.
A 2009 graduate of Sacred Heart High School, she received a bachelor’s degree in radiological sciences from McNeese State University in Lake Charles in 2013. She recently graduated from the Cardiovascular Ultrasound School at Southern Medical Corporation in Baton Rouge.
Mr. DeRouen’s mother is the former Lisa Soileau of Ville Platte. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick DeRouen Sr., Belva Soileau and the late Roderick Soileau.
A 2009 graduate of Sacred Heart High School, he received a degree in business agriculture from McNeese State University in Lake Charles in 2013. He is currently employed with Progressive Tractor and Implement Company of Bunkie.
