Aline H. Bennett

Funeral services for Mrs. Aline Harrell Bennett, 90, of Start, were held Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at the Start Baptist Church under the direction of Mulhearn funeral home with Rev. Jeff Smart officiating.

Interment followed at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Bennett was born August 20, 1918 to Freddie and Horace Harrell in Scott County, MS and passed away September 6, 2008 in Monroe, LA. Mrs. Bennett was a resident of Start for seventy-two years, a member of the Start Baptist Church and the Hope Sunday School Class. She loved her church, family, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Solen Bennett; parents, two sisters, four brothers, and one grandson.

Survivors include daughters, Dixie Noel and husband George, Glenda O’Neal and husband Cliff, Olita Petch and husband Jerry, Rebecca Davis and husband Mike, Wanda Towers and husband Jerry; sons, Frank Bennett and wife Vivian, Fred Bennett and wife Beverly, Robert Bennett, Benson Bennett and wife Nelda, Bryan Bennett and wife Geneace, and Dallas Bennett; brothers, Dalton Harrell and Hubert Harrell; sister, Jackie Grammer; sixteen grandchildren.

Pallbearers were the grandsons.

Memorials may be made to Start Baptist Church or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
