Boggy Bayou Youth Pageant to be held Saturday, March 19

The 2016 Boggy Bayou Youth Pageant has been planned for Saturday, March 19 at the Boggy Bayou fairgrounds, located one mile south of Pine Prairie on Heritage Road.
Divisions (with times) are as follows: Little Mr. boys 3-5 years at 9:30 a.m.; Little Miss girls 3-5 years at 10 a.m.; Tiny Miss girls 19-35 months at 10:30 a.m.; Tiny Mr. boys 19-35 months at 10:45 a.m.; Baby Mr. boys 0-18 months at 11 a.m.; Baby Miss girls 0-18 months at 11:30 a.m.; Petite Miss girls 6-9 years at noon; Deb Miss girls 10-13 at 12:30 p.m.; and Teen Miss girls 14-16 years at 1 p.m.
Deadline to enter is Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Entry fee is $25 per child and two or more children entering from same immediate family will pay only $45. No entries will be accepted after the deadline unless category is in need of contestants.
Parents of kings and queens must sign contract. Contestants must not hold any other festival title.
Attire for those 0-9 years old is Sunday best or Easter outfits. Attire for girls 10-16 is formal wear (tea-length or formal gowns).
All kings and queens crowned must attend this year’s Boggy Bayou Queen’s Pageant on Saturday, April 2, at the fairgrounds.
All proceeds benefit Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Pine Prairie.
Forms can be picked up at The Gazette in Ville Platte, Prairie Manor Nursing Home or other Pine Prairie businesses.
