Heritage Manor News: Happy Labor Day!

More than 10,000 people, including members of the Central Labor Union and other citizens marched in a parade. Following the parade, people gathered in a park for speeches, a picnic and concert. In 1894, President Grover Cleveland signed into law an act making Labor Day a federal holiday on the first Monday of September. It is also celebrated this way in Canada and Bermuda.
