Minister’s Corner: Oh What a Savior!

Christ was fully God and fully human. He lived an extraordinary life just like you. He dealt with everyday issues just like you. He dealt with pain just like you and I. And Jesus faced the same struggles that you and I do. Why? Why did He do it? In one word. love. Jesus tells us Himself the reason why when He says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
I am so thankful that my God was willing to identify so fully with me that He was willing to suffer the dignities of being a human and all that represents and was willing to go to the cross for me. Oh what a Savior! Who would not want to embrace His love and surrender to His will? He gave His all so that we can have it all. But with all that He has done for us, He gives us the freedom to choose whether or not we will accept it. I can’t speak for you. I wish I could make you love Him and accept Him, but I can’t. However, I can tell you with certainty, “... as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)
