Sheriff's office reports 19 recent arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported 19 recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Preston Joseph Fruge Jr., 51, 1421 N. Black Ave., Basile, was charged January 15, with sexual battery/forcible fondling and intimidation. Fruge remained in jail on a $50,000 bond at press time.
•Anthony Jerome Hebert, 23, 1313 Third St., Mamou, was charged January 16, with domestic abuse battery. Hebert remained in jail on a $5,000 bond at press time.
•Joyce Mae Ardrus, 58, 1222 Highway 13, Eunice, was chrged January 16, with second degree battery. Ardrus was released from jail on a $3.000 bond.
•Diana Renee Granger, 34, 3039 Jefferson St., Pine Prairie, was charged January 16, with expired MVI sticker, no liability insurance, failure to stop and suspension of a driver’s license. Granger was released from jail on a $1,216 bond.
•Ricky Dale Clark, 56, 1216 Floyd C. Road, Ville Platte, was charged January 16, with simple battery, disturbing the peace using offensive, derisive words, aggravated assault with a firearm and discharging a firearm in a residential area. No bonding information was available.
•Darrin Lee Bertrand, 24, 1232 L’anse Aux Paille Road, Ville Platte, was charged January 17, with careless operation, failure to report a crash, no insurance and no seatbelt. Bertramd remained in jail on a $466.50 bond at press time.
•Travis V. Allison, 36, 1112 Melody Lane, Mamou, was charged January 17, with domestic abuse battery. Allison was released from jail on a $2,000 bond.
•Aaron Wayne Johnston, 20, 1093 Seabury Lane, Mamou, was charged January 18, with domestic abuse battery and simple criminal damage to property. Johnston remined in jail on a $10,000 bond at press time.
•Clyde Earl Hicks, 38, 2814 L’anse Aux Paille Road, Ville Platte, was charged January 16, with careless operation, no seat belt and no insurance. Hicks remained in jail on a $1,500 bond at press time.
•Michael Patrick Murphy, 54, 2339 Vidrine Road, Ville Platte, was charged January 13, with domestic abuse battery. Murphy was released from jail on a $10,000 bond.
•Lindsey Sky Murphy, 29, 2339 Vidrine Road, Ville Platte, was charged January 13, with domestic abuse battery. Murphy was released from jail on a $10,000 bond.
•Blandon Richard, 17, 305 Eighth St., Mamou, was charged January 13, with illegal possession of stolen things. Richard remained in jail on a $7,500 bond at press time.
•Ladell Michael Collins, 17, 1012 Hickory St., Mamou, was charged January 13, with armed robbery and illegal possession of stolen things. Collins remained in jail on a $107,500 bond at press time.
•Casey Stephen McCauley, 20, 3039 Jefferson St., Pine Prairie, was charged January 14, with domestic abuse battery. McCauley was being held in jail on a $8,000 bond at press time.
•Ricky Thomas, 45, 1348 Morrison Ave., Ville Platte, was charged January 13, with simple battery and simple criminal damage to property. Thomas was being held in jail on a $2,000 bond at press time.
•Norris Dick Jr., 30, 816 Ninth St., Mamou, was charged January 13, with distribution of marijuana to a 15 year old and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Dick was being held in jail on a $100,000 bond at press time.
•Ryan Lee Ortego, 27, 2862 Highway 13, Mamou, was charged January 14, with cyberstalking. Ortego was being held in jail on a $5,000 bond at press time.
•Larry Slaughter Jr., 33, 1317 Second St., Mamou, was charged January 14, with attempted second degree murder. Slaughter was being held in jail on a $125,000 bond at press time.
•Ruben Ray Doyle, 42, 12 Leonard Road, Pitkin, was charged January 16, with violation of protective order (two counts) and careless operation. Doyle was being held in jail on a $7,600 bond at press time.
