The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office announced on Wednesday that the juvenile girl that went missing on September 13, 2016 has been found and returned to the custody to her parents on Monday, September 26.
Alyssa Kaitlyn Deshotel was originally reported missing on Sept. 13 by her mother Bridgette Deshotel.
The older Deshotel told authorities that the 15-year-old Alyssa had left her residence from the 1000 block of Becky Sue Street to attend school but did not return back home that afternoon.
Alyssa had been seen multiple times in the Easton and Ville Platte areas.
EPSO said in the statement on Wednesday that the investigation remains ongoing into Deshotel’s disappearance.
In connection with this situation, the EPSO Investigations Division “has issued a warrant of arrest on Jake Trahon for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.”
Trahon is believed to be “residing in or around the Scott area.”
At this time, no arrest has been made, but if anyone has any information regarding this matter, the EPSO Investigations Division ask that you contact their office at (337) 363-2161.
