Mamou sweeps Kinder in district action Tuesday

The Mamou Demons and Lady Demons took to the court Tuesday to face off against Kinder in District 4-2A action.
Both the Demons and Lady Demons were looking to stay undefeated in district play.

Mamou (G) vs. Kinder
The Lady Demons used an 18-3 run in the fourth quarter to pull away from the Kinder Lady Jackets in a 69-46 win.
Mamou is now 19-8 overall and a perfect 6-0 in district.
Mamou and Kinder were tied at 14-14 at the end of the first quarter and only led by five at the half.
However, a 32-14 advantage in the second half sealed the win.
Arkieyanah Thomas led the Lady Demons with 27 points.

Mamou (B) vs. Kinder
Mamou trailed by two in the first quarter, but outscored Kinder 28-19 in the second quarter to surge ahead 39-32 as the first half buzzer sounded.
Kinder cut the lead to one, 55-54, at the end of the third quarter. But, Mamou outpaced Kinder 23-16 in the final quarter to seal the win.
Mamou moves to 12-12 on the year and 5-0 in district.
Russell Edwards posted 24 points to lead the Demons in scoring.
