Sacred Heart has another Fontenot slated to hit the hill for McNeese State University next fall.
Ace right-handed pitcher Conner Fontenot signed a letter of intent to play baseball for the Cowboys starting in 2017.

Hard fought loss

RESERVE - In a game that saw 41 total penalties and a number of quick drives with big plays for defending state runner-up Riverside Academy, the Sacred Heart Trojans bowed out of the Division III playoffs with a 48-14 loss here Friday night.

Sacred Heart wins district cross country title; Pine Prairie boys take parish

The Sacred Heart Lady Trojan varsity cross country team recently won the District 5-2A crown and will now take their talents to the state cross country meet to be held on Monday, November 14 in Natchitoches at Northwestern State University. The team is coached by Stephanie Fontenot.

Basile hits the road for first playoff game; faces Linclon Prep

The question was not whether the Basile Bearcats (3-7) would be in the 2016 Class 1A playoffs, but whether they would be able to maintain a top 16 power ranking and get the opportunity to host a first round contest.
