PINE PRAIRIE -- The 2016 Pine Prairie Invitational Tournament came to a conclusion this past Saturday and the two host teams were both in the mix for tournament titles.

Bulldogs, Trojans take to the floor in non-district hoops action

The Ville Platte High Bulldog and the Sacred Heart Trojan basketball teams recently competed in some key non-district contests this past week.

Pine Prairie tourney begins with several area teams in action

PINE PRAIRIE - The Pine Prairie Invitational Basketball Tournament got underway here Wednesday night and featured a number of teams from around the area, including parish hoop squads Sacred Heart, Mamou and the host team Pine Prairie.

District honors

The 2016 football season did not turn out the way most of the parish teams imagined.
However, for two of those teams, playoffs were the order of the day, as the Sacred Heart Trojans and the Basile Bearcats both made appearances in the post-season.

PINE PRAIRIE – It was the continuance of a streak and the end of another this past Saturday night, as the Ville Platte High Bulldogs and the Mamou Lady Demons laid claim to the 2016 Evangeline Parish hoops title.
