Kyle Patrick Dupuis

MAMOU - A private funeral service was held for Kyle Patrick Dupuis, 27, of Austin, Texas, at 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 31. Visitation was held at the Ardoins’s Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service.

A native of Mamou, Mr. Dupuis died Friday, July 26, 2013. He was a graduate student seeking a PhD in chemistry at the University of Texas in Austin. He had previously garnered a Bachelor of Science degree at LSU and was a graduate of Mamou High School.

Survivors include his wife, Caroline Sharp Dupuis of Austin, Texas; his parents, Michael and Liz Dupuis of Mamou; one brother, Ryan Michael Dupuis and his wife, Sara, and their daughter, Lillian, of Slaughter; his paternal grandmother, Linda Dupuis of Mamou; his maternal grandfather, Ivy Estilette of Ville Platte; and his in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Walsdorf of Covington and Mr. and Mrs. Horace Sharp of Amite.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jake Dupuis; and his maternal grandmother, Alberta Estilette.
