Clerk of court announces commissioner schools

According to Evangeline Parish Clerk of Court Randy Deshotel, there will be a commissioner-in-charge school for all persons who are interested in becoming certified election commissioners-in-charge.
The schools will be held in the following locations and at the following times:
•Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at 12 p.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
•Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at 12 p.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
All schools will be held in Ville Platte at the Evangeline Parish Police Jury Meeting Room on the second floor of the Evangeline Parish Courthouse.
If you have been a certified election commissioner and have worked a minimum of two elections within the past four years, you are able to attend this schooling. The successful completion of a short exam will qualify a person to become certified election commissioner-in-charge. If you have any questions concerning the schools, please contact Clerk of Court Randy Deshotel or Cathy McDaniel, Deputy Clerk in charge of Elections.
