First Baptist Church Cook-off winners named

Seth Deville won the LSU rocking chair for being the Grand Champion of the ninth annual First Baptist Church of Ville Platte Cook-Off on Sunday, November 3 for his first place dish in the pork category, Pork Duo. He also placed first in the beef category. Jesse Muse placed second in the pork category with Pork Chile and Cammey Deviulle placed third with Pork n Gravy. April and Nick Devillier placed first in the poultry category with Hen Sauce Piquant, Jesse Muse placed first in the seafood category with Shrimp and Grits, Steven Deville and Luke Duplechain placed first in the wild game category with an alligator dish, and in the soup category, Becky Graves placed first with Taco Soup and Valle Dupre placed second with Corn Soup Bisque. In the children’s competition, Kamryn West and Case Ardoin placed first with Spicy Sausage, Tasso Fecututti; Zacy Bolfa placed second with Sausage and Tasso Sauce Piquant and Brandon Enicke place third with Hen Sauce Piquant. Carson Ardoin and Anne Marie Bieber were the booth decorating winners and winners of the Name the Cajun Man award, with “Redneck Moses,” were Kamryn West and Case Ardoin.
