FIRNA “LOU” TATE

December 04, 1925 - April 26, 2017
MAMOU -- It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Firna “Lou” Tate announces her passing on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at 5:30 a.m. at Harvest Manor Nursing Home in Denham Springs.
The family requested visiting hours be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou beginning at 8:00 a.m. until time of services. Funeral services were held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Interment followed in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery in Mamou with Pastor Michael Fontenot officiating.
Lou, a native of Mamou and a resident of Denham Springs, was a wonderful, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great- great grandmother, and friend. Lou leaves behind to cherish her memories, one daughter, Judy Soileau Hunter of Denham Springs; two sisters, Nary Tate Reed and husband Elvin of Mamou and Elaine DeBarge of Lake Charles; one brother, Allen Ray Tate of Florida; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Lou joins in heaven her parents Kenneth and Emily Guillory Tate, one son, Jesse Dale Guillory; two brothers, Nelson Tate and Paul Tate; and one sister, Mary Fontenot.
Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou was in charge of arrangements.
