VILLE PLATTE- Funeral Services will be held at a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial for Florella Daire, 83, at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church on today, Thursday, June, 29, 2017 who passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Lafayette General surrounded by her loved ones.
Father Tom Voorhies Pastor at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church will be celebrating the mass and conducting the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Flo’s devotion to her family was apparent every day. This is where she left her legacy of faith in God, service to others and love for all. She was a parishioner at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, and was a member of Come Lord Jesus. Mrs. Flo will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her memories will live on through her family. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, John L. “Doc” Daire, sons, John C. Daire and wife, Debbie of Lafayette, Tommy Daire and wife, Laura of Ville Platte and Joey Daire and wife, Laurie of Ville Platte; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Flo is preceded in death by her parents, Moise and Mary Lejeune, her son, Kim Daire, and her two sisters, Della Rose Daire and Anna Rella Ortego.
Visitation was observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM. A rosary was recited at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, June 28, 2017. Visitation will resume today, Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
