ARNAUDVILLE - Funeral services for Arron Michael Baber were held Monday, June 20, 2016 at 1 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial in St. Theresa Catholic Church in St. Landry followed the service. The Rev. Kenneth Mayne, pastor of St. Theresa Catholic Church, officiated at the services. Interment was in St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery in St. Landry.
Baber, 22, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016.
Baber was a native and a lifelong resident of Arnaudville. He was employed with Devall Towing & Boating Services as a deckhand for four years. When he wasn’t working, Baber enjoyed being outdoors with family & friends. He was your typical country boy; collecting guns, hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers and farming with his “Paw”.
Survivors include his parents, Danny Baber and the former Jill Dischler of Arnaudville; one brother, Austin Baber and his companion, Chris Menard, of Kansas City, Missouri; paternal grandparents, James Baber “Paw Jim” and Elana Wischer Baber “Grandma” of Harvest, Alabama; maternal grandparents, Michael Dischler, Sr. “Paw” and Barbara Hazelton Dischler “Granny” of St. Landry; one uncle, Michael Dischler, Jr. and his companion, Kathryn Gibson, of St. Landry; two aunts, Angie Davis and her husband, Ricky, of Birmingham, Alabama and Krista Dischler “Nanny” of Lafayette; three cousins, Mike Dischler III, Kelsie Menard and Kaelyn Menard; his best friend, Desmond Lazard; and his godchild, Bailee.
He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
