RICHARD LESTER HAZELTON, SR.

TURKEY CREEK - Funeral services for Richard Lester Hazelton, Sr. were held Saturday, July 2, 2016 in the Lake Cove Baptist Church with Reverend Cody King officiating. Committal service followed in the Turkey Creek Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Richard, 63, of Turkey Creek, entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at his residence. He was born February 26, 1953 in Lecompte to the union of Marion Hazelton and Barbara McCarty Hazelton. He loved the great outdoors and was a big deer hunter – running deer hounds and fox hounds. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Pamela Hazelton.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are: one son, Richard Hazelton, Jr. and wife, Ashley of Pine Prairie; three daughters, Pennie Fontenot, Misty Hazelton, and Paige Hazelton all of Pine Prairie; two brothers, Harlan Hazelton of Lake Cove and Ted Hazelton of Turkey Creek; three sisters, Delores Hazelton of Turkey Creek, Loraine Guillory of Glenmora, and Annette Fontenot of Ville Platte; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers were Tyler Bennett, Mackenzie Grantham, Devin Grantham, Rod Hazelton, Silton Hazelton, and Irby Hazelton.
