Lions, Demons look for league win

In District 4-2A, Mamou and Vinton are both looking for their first league win. Mamou is coming off of a tough outing against ninth ranked Welsh, while Vinton took a beating against fifth ranked Kinder.
The Lions are 5-2 on the year with their only losses coming in league play to Kinder and Welsh.
Things have been tough for Mamou to say the least. The Demons have scored just once since week three and have just one win to boot. They crushed South Cameron 35-17 in week two, but have struggled since. Mamou’s offensive woes have come a lot due to their classic style of offense. The Demons are averaging less than eight points a game.
The Lions, who like to run the ball, are putting up 25 points a game and will be hard to slow down. It will be up to the Mamou defense to keep the Lions’ O-unit off the field as much as possible.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m, in Mamou.
