Dr. Songy, Miss Broussard plan April nuptials

The engagement of Miss Margaret Elaine Broussard to Dr. Chad Ellis Songy, the son of Dale and Diane Songy of Baton Rouge, has been announced by her parents, George and Dana Broussard of Ville Platte.
The couple will exchange wedding vows Saturday, April 26, 2014, during a 6:30 p.m. ceremony at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington.
Miss Broussard, whose mother is the former Dana Foret of Ville Platte, is the granddaughter of Jerry and Janell Foret of Ville Platte and George and Dionysia Broussard of Lockport.
A 2007 graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Ville Platte, she will receive her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in May 2014.
Dr. Songy’s mother is the former Diane Breaud of Baton Rouge. He is the grandson of Dr. P.M. and Amy Breaud and Donald and Bernice Songy.
A 2005 graduate of Catholic High School in Baton Rouge, he received a bachelor’s degree in biology from LSU in 2009 and his Doctorate of Medicine from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport in 2013. He is currently in his first year of residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he is pursuing a specialty in orthopedic surgery.
