Mr. Boudreaux, Miss Broussard united in holy matrimony

Our Lady of Wisdom Catholic Church in Lafayette provided the setting for a lovely 7 p.m. ceremony Friday, December 12, uniting Miss Madeline Kate Broussard and Mr. Benjamin Jude Boudreaux in holy matrimony, with Father Bryce Sibley officiating.

The church was beautifully decorated in the Christmas seasonal decor.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was radiant in her sophisticated and classically designed slim line gown. The gown featured a beautiful, detailed lace accented at the waistline with an ivory-colored ruched fabric. The bodice introduced a dramatic v-shaped neckline and intricate key-hole back, both edged in a scalloped lace. The gown was completed by a button enclosure and semi-cathedral train. She wore pearl earrings and a gold chain and crucifix to complete her attire.
The bride carried a bouquet of soft, light pink roses accented with stargazer lilies and greenery.
Hannah Murphy of Lafayette served as matron of honor for the special occasion. She wore a gem green-colored, sleeveless gown with a charmeuse-colored banded empire waistline and pleated front to create a stunning silhouette. The eye-catching ruffled back detail completed the look. She wore pearl earrings and necklace to complete her attire.
Bridesmaids were Meredith Broussard of Ville Platte and Margaret B. Songy of Little Rock, Arkansas, sisters of the bride; Caroline Kimmel of Zachary and Allison Mendoza of New Orleans, cousins of the bride; and Allison Fusilier of Ville Platte, friend of the bride. They were attired identically to the matron of honor.
Aaron Courville of Lafayette served as best man for the evening ceremony.
Groomsmen were Kyle Boudreaux of Lafayette and Chris Boudreaux of Scott, brothers of the groom; and Ross Champagne of Breaux Bridge and Brook Leblanc of Lafayette, friends of the groom.
Ushers were Adam Fontenot and Cole Kimmel.
Jeweleanne Broussard served as flower girl and Cole Boudreaux served as ring bearer.
For her daughter’s special day, the bride’s mother selected a rosewood-colored, floor-length gown featuring a sequin top accented with a bolero jacket.
The groom’s mother selected a midnight blue-colored capsleeve gown featuring delicate bead and sequin embellishments on airy chiffon. Satin ribbon trim accented the waistline and v-neckline. She wore pearls given to her by her husband the day their son, the groom, was born.
A reception followed at the River Oaks Reception Hall in Lafayette. The hall was decorated in a Christmas theme.
Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple has made their home in Lafayette, where she is employed with Vermilion Catholic High School in Abbeville and he is employed with Frank’s International in Lafayette.
