Mr. Childs, Miss Ardoin plan November nuptials

The engagement of Miss LaTochia Travonnia Ardoin to Mr. Adrian Jermaine Childs, the son of Ina Childs of Gadsden, Alabama, and the late Ernest Lovelace Childs, has been announced by her parents, Shirley C. and Rev. Melvin D. Jackson and Silton Ardoin.
The couple will exchange wedding vows Saturday, November 30, 2013, in Marksville.
Miss Ardoin is a graduate of Southern University A and M College, where she received a master’s degree in nursing and a bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation science. She is currently employed as a safe patient handler/magnet coordinator with the Alexandria VA Health System.
Mr. Childs received associate degrees from Wallace Community College in nursing and computer technology. He is currently employed as a contract registered nurse at Lafayette General Hospital.
