Mr. and Mrs. Chandos Clay McDaniel

Mr. McDaniel Miss Guillory united in marriage

St. John’s Episcopal Church in Washington provided the setting for a lovely 6 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, June 28, 2014, uniting Miss Katherine Jane Guillory and Mr. Chandos Clay McDaniel in marriage with Hope Landreneau officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Paula and Artie Courville of Mamou and Quinn and Christie Guillory of Frisco, Texas. The groom is the son of Steve and Penny McDaniel of Ville Platte.
The church pews were adorned with mason jars filled with pink roses, white ranunculus, white snapdragons and gypsophilia tied with a sheer ivory-colored ribbon. The church also was beautifully decorated with large ferns in antique white pedestals. Grapevine wreaths with pink roses and burlap bows hung from the entrance doors of the church.
Given in marriage by her father and step-father, the bride was radiant in her vintage, ivory-colored gown embellished with lace on tulle over a duchess satin, A-line skirt. The gown was accented with a beaded belt and signature corset back closure completed with a waltz mantilla (beaded lace veil).
The bride carried an elegant nosegay of antique pink garden roses with accents of gypsophilia and plumosa, hand-tied and wrapped with burlap and lace. A locket belonging to her grandmother was entwined into the bouquet.
Jamison Guillory of Lafayette served her sister as maid of honor for the special occasion. She wore a blush-colored, one-shoulder, floor-length gown of chiffon featuring an empire waistline and accented with a beautiful antique brooch at the shoulder. She carried a smaller version of the bride’s bouquet.
Bridesmaids were Courtney Guillory of Mamou, sister of the bride; and Casey Guillory of Ville Platte, cousin of the groom. They were attired identically to the maid of honor.
Shae McDaniel of Ville Platte served his brother as best man for the evening ceremony.
Groomsmen were Robert Soileau and Kyle Vidrine, both of Ville Platte.
Ushers were Chip Courville, brother of the bride; and Noah Manuel.
Flower girl was Kerrington McDaniel, godchild of the groom.
For her daughter’s special day, the bride’s mother selected a burgundy marquis satin gown featuring a one-shouldered neckline, gathered bodice with a beaded applique at the side and a classic knee-length A-line skirt.
The groom’s mother selected a mauve-colored knee-length gown of lace and chiffon accented with a ruched empire sash at the waistline. She wore a mauve-colored, three-quarter-length sleeve lace jacket to complete her attire.
A reception followed at the Wolff Banquet and Reception Hall in Washington. Guest tables were accented with lanterns adorned with pink roses, white ranunculus and gypsophilia. Pink roses, white hydrangeas, white larkspurs, pink snapdragons, ruscus and plumosa were artistically designed in vases and mason jars for placement at the food table, entry table and stairway endcaps.
The couple has made their home in Ville Platte.
