Heritage Manor News: Conflict and causes

Conflict is a part of life. Understanding the causes of conflict in the workplace helps to resolve issues, such as bathing times, treatments or therapy sessions. A successful team understands by openly discussing each person’s perspective without judgement. Taking the time to analyze the cause is the first step toward developing positive conflict resolutions. Time is unique. Each person sees things from a different point of view. Each person has different roles, job duties and assigned positions. We all have goals, values, policies and priorities. Teamwork is necessary and keeps all involved, families, residents and staff, happy and running smoothly. Our goal is to meet residents physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs. Each staff member’s focus is different, but we all have the same goal - happy and healthy residents.
