Kenny Paul Blood, an Avoyelles Parish inmate who escaped last Friday, has been caught by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office.
According to an EPSO press release “detectives had been receiving tips throughout the weekend of his [Blood] whereabouts.”
The EPSO were able to locate and capture Blood, 31, Sunday night around 9:30 p.m. “at a residence on Blood Bend Road in the Lone Pine area.” The EPSO press release also stated that “Blood surrendered to authorities safely and without incident.”
According to the Bunkie Record, on Friday, September 11, around 10:30 a.m. an Avoyelles Parish inmate was on work release detail with the City of Marksville when he left the City Barn in a car that was waiting to pick him up. Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office’s Chief Deputy Major Steve Martel told the Bunkie Record that “supervisors at the City Barn didn’t notice Blood was missing until 12:15 p.m. and notified APSO of the escape.”
Blood was currently incarcerated in Avoyelles Parish for unauthorized use of a vehicle.
Early Monday, the APSO transported Blood back to the Avoyelles Parish jail.
Samantha Chaddrick, 33, who is believed to have been the driver of the vehicle used for Blood’s escape, was captured in Evangeline Parish shortly after the incident occurred. According to the Bunkie Record, Martel said, “Chaddrick would be charged with assisting an escape.”
