Mamou police report five recent arrests

The Mamou Police Department reported five recent bookings into the town jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Marvin Freeman, 18, 219 Cross St., Mamou, was charged April 7, with simple battery. Freeman was transferred to the parish jail.
•Darlene Wooley, 32, 814 East St., Mamou, was charged April 8, with theft. Wooley bonded out of jail.
•Craig B. Darbonne, 50, 1009 Ash St., Mamou, was charged April 10, with simple battery. Darbonne bonded out of jail the next day.
•Charlene Bellard, 36, 1012 Hackberry St., Mamou, was charged April 12, with prescription fraud. Bellard was transferred to the parish jail.
•Chadwick S. Johnson, 51, 905 East St., Mamou, was charged April 12, with illegal possession of Xanax and Diazepam and unauthorized entry of a business. Johnson was being held in jail at press time.
