Mamou police report nine recent arrests

The Mamou Police Department reported nine recent bookings into the town jail. Arrested were the following persons:
•Frederick Thomas, 32, 480 Botley Cemetery Road, Kinder, was charged March 9, with Schedule II narcotics. Thomas was transferred to the parish jail.
•Joshua Weathersby, 23, 1835 State Ave., Ville Platte, was charged March 9, with disturbing the peace by intoxication. Weathersby was released on a citation the next day.
•Joseph Duplechain, 809 Chestnut St., Mamou, was charged March 11, with disturbing the peace by intoxication. Duplechain was released on a citation two days later.
•Brenda W. Skinner, 1067 Shorty Lane, Mamou, was charged March 11, with aggravated assault and simple escape. Skinner was transferred to the parish jail two days later.
•Carl Joseph Ducote, 909 Cherry St., Apt. 16, Mamou, was charged March 11, with disturbing the peace by intoxicaion. Ducote bonded out of jail the same day.
•Nicki Lavergne, 38, 113 Seventh St., Mamou, was charged March 13, with fraud and forgery. Lavergne was transferred to the parish jail.
•Vanessa Pierce, 40, 1703 Gradney Lane, Mamou, was charged March 13, with disturbing the peace by language. Pierce was released on a citation the same day.
•Woodrow Williams, 44, 1120 Oak St., Mamou, was charged March 13, with simple battery. Williams bonded out of jail two days later.
•Blake Smothers, 43, 808 Ash St., Mamou, was charged March 14, with theft. Smothers remained in jail at press time.
