Sheriff's office reports 16 recent arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported 16 recent bookings into the parish jail. Charged were the following people:
•Daniel Lee Carter, 28, 1777 Highway 115, St. Landry, was charged April 27, with theft of a motor vehicle and simple burglary. Carter was being held in jail on a $25,000 bond at press time.
•Reginald Keith Breaux, 36, 732 Rhodes St., Lake Charles, was charged April 27, with speeding and suspended driver’s license. Breaux was released from jail on a $743 bond.
•Nigel D. Fontenot, 19, 205 E. Jefferson St., Ville Platte, was charged April 27, with simple battery and simple robbery. Fontenot was released from jail on a $15,000 bond.
•Berthis O. Edwards, 30, 712 Railroad Ave., Mamou, was charged April 26, with aggravated assault. Edwards was being held in jail on a $10,000 bond at press time.
•John Scott Barron, 54, 1096 Highway 15, St. Landry, was charged April 28, with DWI (third offense), vehicular negligent injury, hit and run and driving left of center. Barron was being held in jail on a $50,000 bond.
•Wiley Eugene Henry, 24, 15292 Crooked Creek Parkway, Ville Platte, was charged April 29, with simple burglary and theft of a motor vehicle. Henry was being held in jail on a $25,000 bond at press time.
•Erica Marie Fontenot, 28, 2025 Lezo St., Ville Platte, was charged April 29, with no insurance, driving under suspension and DWI. Fontenot was released from jail on a $633 bond.
•Glennford Bias Jr., 25, 1236 W. Live Oak St., Ville Platte, was charged April 30, with simple burglary. Bias was being held in jail on a $100,000 bond.
•Glennford Bias Sr., 49, 239 St. James Ave., Opelousas, was charged April 30, with simple burglary. Bias was being held in jail on a $100,000 bond at press time.
•John Casey Fontenot, 28, 355 Buller Rd., Ville Platte, was charged May 1, with simple burglary and theft under $750. Fontenot was being held in jail on a $50,000 bond at press time.
•Alex Juamone Ardoin, 27, 104 Fourth St., Mamou, was charged May 4, with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal possession of a stolen gun and aggravated assault. Ardoin was being held in jail on a $15,000 bond at press time.
•Kevin Keith Argetsinger, 48, 2440 Fourth St., Ville Platte, was charged May 2, with obstruction of fire fighter and aggravated arson. Argetsinger was being held in jail on a $75,000 bond at press time.
•Martin P. Johnson, 35, 1029 Bryce St., Ville Platte, was charged May 5, with public intoxication. Johnson was being held in jail on a $10,000 bond at press time.
•Randal Paul Deville, 46, 2072 Johnson Landing, Ville Platte, was charged May 5, with theft, domestic abuse and simple criminal damage to property. Deville was being held in jail on a $15,000 bond at press time.
•Marco Lee Nelson, 29, 300 Mayor St., Eunice, was charged May 5, with aggravated assault, simple criminal damage to property and discharging a weapon within city limits. Nelson was being held in jail on a $50,000 bond at press time.
•Elizabeth Navarre, 29, 1422 Beech St., Pine Prairie, was charged May 5, with theft by fraud. Navarre was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
