Sheriff's office reports 11 recent arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported 11 recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Marco Rene France, 23, 441 Acadia St., Eunice, was charged March 26, with forgery. France was being held in jail on a $7,500 bond at press time.
•Donald Lee James, 42, 119 Armand St., Ville Platte, was charged March 26, with theft. James was being held in jail on a $10,000 bond at press time.
•Ricky Joseph, 37, 1211 W. Hickory St., Ville Platte, was charged March 26, with simple burglary, theft and simple criminal damage to property. Joseph was being held in jail on a $7,500 bond at press time.
•Chucky Savoka Wilson, 17, 909 Ninth St., Mamou, was charged March 26, with simple battery on a school teacher (two counts). Wilson was released from jail on a $2,500 bond.
•Bryan Chad Leday, 36, 1056 Rachel Drive, Ville Platte, was charged March 29, with domestic abuse battery. Leday was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Louis Joseph Guillory, 63, 802 Reed St., Ville Platte, was charged March 29, with DWI (second offense), head lights required and obscured in/outward view. Guillory was released from jail on a $1,951.50 bond.
•Derek Brock Godeau, 31, 8061 Grand Prairie Road, Ville Platte, was charged March 29, with domestic abuse battery. Godeau was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Kaylon M. Leday, 20, 2233 L’anse de Cavalier Road, Ville Platte, was charged March 30, with DWI (first offense), speeding, no driver’s license, passing in a no-passing zone and modified exhaust. Leday was released from jail on a $1,769 bond.
•Joseph Ferrel Deville, 31, 802 Reed St., Ville Platte, was charged March 29, with resisting an officer. Deville was being held in jail on a $1,500 bond at press time.
•Jacob A. Harris, 23, 4185 Grand Prairie Highway, Washington, was charged March 30, with careless operation, no seat belt and interfering with the duties of a trooper. Harris was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Larry James Charlot, 51, 179 Laurie St., Opelousas, was charged March 31, with issuing worthless checks (seven counts). Charlot was being held in jail on a $1,275 bond at press time.
