Sheriff's office reports 15 recent arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported 15 recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Contrieras Nasario, 26, 416 Third St., Mamou, was charged February 19, with criminal trespassing and simple criminal damage to property. Nasario was released from jail on a $2,500 bond.
•Nicholas Adroin Broussard, 23, 1109 Chestnut St., Mamou, was charged February 19, with trespassing and criminal damage to property. Broussard was released from jail on a $2,500 bond.
•Jame Alexander Garlow Jr., 38, 304 E. Wilson St., Ville Platte, was charged February 20, with aggravated battery. Garlpw was released from jail on a $15,000 bond.
•Bonnie Leday, 53, 304 E. Wilson St., Ville Platte, was charged February 19, with disturbing the peace and aggravated battery. Leday was released from jail on a $15,000 bond.
•Reginald Ray Freeman, 19, 414 N.E. Railroad St., Ville Platte, was charged February 20, with simple burglary, unauthorized motor vehicle and simple criminal damage to property. Freeman was being held in jail on a $15,000 bond at press time.
•Christopher Keith Washington, 20, 412 E. Cotton St., Ville Platte, was charged February 20, with simple burglary, unauthorized motor vehicle and simple criminal damage to property. Washington was being held in jail on a $15,000 bond at press time.
•Shakuille M. Freeman, 19, 414 E. Railroad St., Ville Platte, was charged February 20, with unauthorized motor vehicle, simple burglary and criminal damage to property. Freeman was being held in jail on a $15,000 bond at press time.
•Sammi Jo Celestine, 22, 30325 Tietie Road, Elton, was charged February 20, with theft over $500. Celestine was released from jail on a $2,500 bond.
•Preston Joseph Fruge Jr., 1421 N. Black Ave., Basile, was charged February 20, with criminal knowledge of a juvenile, indecent behavior with a juvenile and oral sexual battery. Fruge was being held in jail on a $50,000 bond at press time.
•Sandress Leon Calvin, 29, 1214 M.L.K. St., Ville Platte, was charged February 21, with attempted second degree murder (four counts) and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Calvin was being held in jail on a $500,000 bond at press time.
•Timothy Glenn Kerchishi, 44, 2997 U.S. Highway 167 North, Ville Platte, was charged February 22, with possession of meth making instrument, illegal use of a CDS in the presence of a minor, drug paraphernalia and indecent behavior. Kerchishi was being held in jail on a $100,000 bond at press time.
•Sandra Lee Fontenot, 53, 7776 Highway 167 North, Turkey Creek, was charged February 22, with driving left of center, DWI (first offense) and failure to change address on driver’s license. Fontenot was released from jail on a $1,500 bond.
•John H. Campbell, 39, 3036 Crooked Creek Parkway, Ville Platte, was charged February 21, with speeding (95 mph in a 55 mph zone) and reckless operation. Campbell was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Brent Timothy Mire, 39, Old Highway 13, Reddell, was charged February 21, with second degree battery. Mire was being held in jail on a $12,500 bond at press time.
•Michael L. Guillory, 145 Barnett St., Opelousas, was charged November 24, with access device application and fraud (two counts). Guillory was being held in jail on a $5,000 bond at pres time.
