Sheriff's office reports 15 recent arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported 15 recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Marvin Lee Freeman, 27, 219 Cross St., Mamou, was charged April 7, with simple battery. Freeman was being held in jail on a $1,500 bond at press time.
•Jacob David, 26, 373 Austin Road, Ville Platte, was charged April 7, with simple battery, battery of an officer and resisting an officer. David was released from jail on a $13,000 bond.
•Kaylee Ann Saucier, 26, 220 Balfa Brother St., Mamou, was charged April 8, with domestic abuse battery. Saucier was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Lance Thomas, 37, 3636 Stagg Ave., Basile, was charged
April 10, with domestic abuse battery. Thomas was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Creshonda M. Thomas, 709 Harold Bordelon St., Ville Platte, was charged April 9, with illegal possession of stolen things. Thomas was being held in jail on a $7,500 bond at press time.
•Michael L. Manuel;, 48, 13454 Oakdale Road, Oakdale, was charged April 12, with simple kidnapping and simple battery of the infirm. Manuel was being held in jail on a $75,000 bond at press time.
•Chadrick Sidney Johnson, 51, 905 East St., Mamou, was charged April 13, with unauthorized entry and illegal possession of Schedule II. Johnson was being held in jail on a $20,000 bond at press time.
•Craig Blake Darbonne, 722 S.W. Railroad St., Ville Platte, was charged April 12, with issuing worthless checks. Darbonne was being held in jail on a $200 bond at press time.
•Hayward Lee Malveaux, 1317 Cherry St., Mamou, was charged April 11, with threatening a public official. Malveaux was released from jail on a $2,500 bond.
•Rodriguez C. Malveaux, 1317 Cherry St., Mamou, was charged April 11, with aggravated assault. Malveaux was released from jail on a $2,000 bond.
•Mannix Brian Veillon, 32, 2628 Edgewood Road, Ville Platte, was charged April 12, with DWI (first offense), careless operation and unsafe vehicle. Veillon was released from jail on a $408 bond.
•Charlene Bellard, 36, 1012 Hackberry St., Mamou, was charged April 12, with prescription fraud. Bellard was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Michael James Jack, 33, 1018 Oat Petit Rd., Mamou, was charged April 12, with improper lane usage and resisting an officer. Jack was released from jail on a $1,500 bond.
•Gilford Jermaine Jackson, 36, 135 Harris Lane, Opelousas, was charged April 13, with DWI (second offense), speeding (82 mph in a 55 mph zone) and driving with a suspended driver’s license. Jackson was released from jail on a $2,141.50 bond.
•Colby A. Lemelle, 26, 516 E. LaSalle St., Ville Platte, was charged April 10, with home invasion, theft and resisting an officer. Lemelle was released from jail on a $10,000 bond.
