Sheriff's office reports eight recent arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported eight recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Scottie Dale Roy, 31, 1610 E. Milton Ave., Lafayette, was charged May 13, with simple criminal damage to property (two counts) and theft (two counts). Roy was released from jail on a $10,000 bond.
•India Monet Williams, 24, 2821 Old Highway 13, Reddell, was charged May 15, with issuing worthless checks (two counts). Williams was released from jail on a $750 bond.
•Lacy Ann Miller, 28, 551 Wayne Road, Eunice, was charged May 15, with DWI (first offense), hit and run and careless operation. Miller remained in jail on a $1,526.50 bond at press time.
•Jennifer Ann Fontenot, 18, 521 East St., Mamou, was charged May 16, with theft of a firearm and simple battery. Fontenot was released from jail on a $10,000 bond.
•Kory Demont Wilson, 37, 517 Young St., Ville Platte, was chrged May 16, with illegal possession of stolen things. Demond was being held in jail on a $10,000 bond at press time.
•Todd Joseph Porche, 38, 811 Buzz Lane, Mamou, was charged May 16, with domestic abuse battery and simple battery. Porche was being held in jail on a $5,000 bond at press time.
•Harvey Collins, 40, 1026 Three Sisters Road, Ville Platte, was charged May 19, with theft over $500. Collins was released from jail on a $10,000 bond.
•Lory Johnson, 19, 219 Seventh St., Mamou, was charged May 19, with simple burglary, theft over $500 and theft of a firearm. Johnson was being held in jail on a $15,000 bond at press time.
