Ville Platte Police Department reports eight recent arrests

The Ville Platte Police Department reported eight arrests recently.
Arrested were the following:
•Wanda Griffith, 49, 1026 Peach St., Ville Platte, was charged January 12, with domestic abuse battery. Griffith remained incarcerated on a $300 bond.
•Kinzi Stevens, 36, 237 Leanne St., Ville Platte, was charged January 11, with stop sign violation and driving under suspension. Stevens was released on a bond.
•Reniski Fontenot, 22, 1011 W. Beauregard St., Ville Platte, was charged January 12, with loitering, remaining after being forbidden and no reflective gear. No bond information was available.
•Tonya Lavergne, 36, 203 S. Coreil St., Ville Platte, was charged January 11, with simple battery on a police officer, public intoxication, disturbing the peace, criminal use of 911 and possession of marijuana. Lavergne was released on a $5,600 bond.
•Davis Jones, 52, 432 Edward Knotoe St., Ville Platte, was charged January 12, with domestic abuse battery. Jones was released on a $300 bond.
•Jimmy Jason, 62, 706 E. Wilson St., Ville Platte, was charged January 13, with no driver’s license and disobeying a stop sign. Jason was released on a $400 bond.
•Hazel Aclese, 58, 1020 Reed St., #9, Ville Platte, was charged January 11, with theft of goods. No bond information was available.
•Ricky Fontenot, 45, 114 E. Pine St., Ville Platte, was charged January 13, with disturbing the peace by intoxication. At press time, Fontenot remained incarcerated on a $500 bond.
