VPPD Arrest Reports

The Ville Platte reported eight recent bookings into the town jail. Arrested were the following persons:
• Deborah Veillon, 34, 1333 Kembo St., Ville Platte, was arrested on June 19, 2016 for remaining after forbidden. Veillon’s bond was set at $500.00.
• Zacarie Fontenot, 5057 Lanse Bleu Rd., was arrested for driving while intoxicated (first offense), no inspection sticker, no driver’s license, switched plate and wrong way on a one way. Fontenot’s bond was set at $1,800.00.
• Hannah Thomas, 29, 609 W. Oak St.,Ville Platte, was arrested on June 23, 2016 for misrepresentation during booking, disturbing the peace, and prohibited acts. Thomas was released from jail on a $2,900.00 bond.
• Brandon Freeman, 28, 1103 W. Hickory St., Ville Platte, was arrested on June 24, 2016 for driving under suspension. Freeman was released from jail on a $500.00 bond.
• Dexter Stelly, 187 Hickory St., Arnaudville, was arrested for disturbing the peace by intoxication. Stelly remains incarcerated.
• Lunel Robertson, 69, 1001 N. Reed St., Ville Platte, was arrested on June 25, 2016 for disturbing the peace by intoxication. Robertson was released from jail on a $200.00 bond.
• Murphy Lemelle, 35, 714 N. Stagg St., Ville Platte, was arrested on July 4, 2016 for criminal trespassing and disturbing the peace. Lemelle was released from jail on a $700.00 bond.
• Wanda Griffith, 1026 W. Peach St., was arrested on July 3, 2016 for disturbing the peace. Griffith was released from jail on a $200.00 bond.
