CHAUNCEY JAMES FONTENOT

October 9, 1986 - July 18, 2017

MAMOU ~ It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Chauncey Fontenot announces his passing on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the age of 30.
Chauncey was a loving husband, amazing father, son, and brother. Everyone that knew him knew his laugh, his smile, and how much he adored his family. Chauncey was gifted with many talents; he was a welder, hunter, and a storyteller. He would light up a room just by walking through the door. Although his family loved him dearly, the ducks feared him. He instilled his love of hunting in his wife and children.
He filled every atmosphere with love, kindness, and laughter. He loved to talk, and everywhere he would go, he made close friends that soon became a second family. Chauncey will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Chauncey loved his family beyond belief. He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife of 10 years, Nadia Fontenot; two daughters, Lexie and Caylee; son Bentley Fontenot; father and mother in-law, Ricardo and San Juana brother in-law; parents, Roderick and Michelle Fontenot of Mamou; one sister, Angela White and husband, Jeremy and maternal grandmother, Brenda Thrasher.
Chauncey joins in heaven his paternal grandmother, Laura Bondick and paternal grandfather Edrick Fontenot and his maternal grandfather, Thomas Thrasher.
