CROWLEY – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 2 p.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for John B. Broussard, 63, who died Monday, March 3, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Mr. Broussard was a native of Lyons Point and lifelong resident of Crowley. He was an avid bass fisherman along with building and repairing fishing rods. He enjoyed his many fishing trips and his camp at Toledo Bend. For thirty years he was in the automotive parts business before his retirement.

Fr. Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to service time.A rosary will be recited Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Maxie Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of forty-four years Bonnie Amos Broussard of Crowley; one son, Pat Broussard and his wife Debbie of Crowley; his mother, Therese C. Coles of Crowley; two sisters, Mary Sonnier of Houston, Texas, Brenda Guidry of Estherwood; three brothers, Ronald Broussard of Deridder, Joe Broussard of Jennings, Duncan Broussard of Crowley; three grandchildren, Tyler Broussard, Ashley Broussard and Kylie Broussard.

Mr. Broussard was preceded in death by his father, John Baptist Broussard.

The family requests memorial contributions to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, American Cancer Society or your favorite charity.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Crowley.
