Mamou Police arrest man for attempted robbery; searching for other individuals

The Mamou Police Department responded to an attempted armed robbery recently which resulted in the arrest of Damien Williams.
According the MPD, on December 24, 2016, Williams knocked on the door of a Mamou residence, and when the homeowner opened the door, Williams stepped inside, “flashed a hand gun, and demanded that the homeowner give him their Xbox.”
The owner of the home proceeded to tell Williams “I’m not afraid of you,” and then wrestled him out of the home.
The suspect fled the scene on foot, but was later located hiding in a closet at another Mamou residence.
Williams was arrested for attempted armed robbery and two warrants.
While the MPD were able to catch Williams, there are two individuals that have been suspected of committing a crime in Mamou that the police department is requesting assistance in locating.
Jacob Jack became wanted by the MPD after he was seen on security footage at a local recycling business in the area selling rims that were stolen off of a vehicle in Mamou.
The other wanted individual is Market Freeman, who was found to be in possession of crack cocaine, powder cocaine, drug paraphernalia and a weapon during a routine traffic stop. Freeman managed to flee the scene on foot.
