Stolen meds lead to arrest

Ville Platte Police Chief Neal Lartigue reported a recent medication theft and the arrest of a Ville Platte man in that case.
On November 10, the Ville Platte Police Department received a complaint of theft from the 500 block of Jean Duos Road in Ville Platte. Officers quickly learned that medication had been stolen from the residence. Upon completion of the investigation, detectives arrested Yvonne Terrell Tezeno, 44, 1425 Martin Luther King Blvd., Ville Platte.
Tezeno was charged with theft valued less than $300 and possession with intent to distribute a Schedule III narcotics. Tezeno was booked into the Ville Platte City Jail on a $15,000 bond issued by 13th Judicial District Judge Thomas Fuselier.
