LSUE announces recent high school rallies winners

EUNICE – Some 368 area students will be going to the state high school rally competition because of their superior performance at the 37th annual LSU at Eunice District High School Literary, Speech and Drama Rallies.

Students from 23 schools divided into five divisions participated in the rallies, which were held on the LSU at Eunice campus. The Literary Rally was held March 15. Speech and drama competition was on March 7.

First place winners in each event in each division in the Literary Rally and students rated superior in individual speech competition events will receive scholarships for partial fee exemptions valid at LSUE for two consecutive years from the date of the student’s high school graduation.

Schools in the LSUE District Rally Association are divided for competition according to the number of students enrolled. The top three finishers in Divisions II and II of the literary rally qualify for the state rally. The top two finishers in Division IV and V also qualify.

In the speech and drama categories, competitors judged superior will go to the state rally, which will be held in April on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge.

Competition was offered at the district level only in business mathematics, keyboarding productions and business English.

The final district rally results, released by the LSUE Office of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services, are posted at www.lsue.edu/rally and above in the chart.
