CHATAIGNIER - Funeral services will be held for Chief Paul Allen Jr., 62, of Chataignier, at St. Mary Baptist Church in Chataignier at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 15. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
Chief Allen died Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte.
Survivors include four sister, Mary Arvie of Ville Platte, Onita Malbrew of Chataignier and Gloria Greene and Sadie M. Ervin, both of Houston, Texas; and one brother, Willie J. Allen of Ville Platte.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., Saturday, August 15, at St. Mary Baptist Church in Chataignier.
Rev. Clarence Fontenot will officiate.
Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Ville Platte will be in charge of arrangements.
