JOYCELYN FONTENOT FUSELIER

Ville Platte – A Mass of Christian Burial for Joycelyn F. Fuselier was held Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Father Tom Voorhies officiated the services. Burial followed at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.
Fuselier, 86, a resident of Ville Platte, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Fuselier was an active member of the Catholic Daughters of America and Come, Lord Jesus. She served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Many will remember her from her 44 years working as the office manager at the local Farm Bureau office. Fuselier enjoyed gardening, baking, and sewing and loved caring for her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Fontenot and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Christy Fusilier and husband, John, Robbie Howton, Jeff Fontenot, Brian Howton and wife, Amel, and Leslie Howton; and great-grandchildren, Alaina Fontenot and Harris Howton.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Fuselier; parents, Jules and Adele Fontenot; daughter, Debbie Howton; son-in-law, Ron Howton; and brothers, Levie, Clevance and Clifton Fontenot.
Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte was in charge of arrangements.
