Odile Thibodeaux

Church Point Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2008, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata for Odile Thibodeaux, 96, the former Odile LeJeune, who died at 6:52 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2008, at her residence in Branch; where she had resided for most of her life.

Father Gary Schex-nayder conducted the services with interment following in the St. Lawrence Cemetery, Mowata.

Survivors include two sons, Preston Thibodeaux of Rayne, and Leroy Thibodeaux and wife Debbie of Branch; three daughters, Frances Thibodeaux LeJeune of Branch, Eldine Richard and husband Charles of Richard, and Mary Thibodeaux Thibodeaux and husband Russell of Rayne; twenty-five grandchildren, sixty-four great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Thibodeaux.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, and continue from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the services on Thursday.

A recitation of the Rosary was held at 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday by Bryne Winn.

Guidry Funeral Home of Church Point was in charge of funeral arrangements.
