Remember when

In case you haven’t noticed, it’s okra (“gombo fevi”) time.

Now, I know that thrills some of you and repulses others, but like the legend of the ant and the grasshopper, when that first blue norther comes down the pike, I’ll be the one with a big pot of okra and tasso gumbo in the stove because I am spending one of the hottest July days in history, standing in front of a hot stove stirring a pot of okra. Us ants are like that.
