Mr. Carter, Miss Jenkins plan December nuptials

The engagement of Miss Coree Leanne Jenkins to Mr. Daniel Anthony Carter, the son of Jerry Ray and Chelline Suzanne Gibson Carter of Lafayette, has been announced by her parents, Anthony and Lesley Fontenot Istre and Craig Jenkins, all of Lafayette, and Larry and Merry Deemy of Ellisville, Mississippi.
The couple will exchange vows Saturday, December 13, 2014, during a 7 p.m. ceremony at Louisiana Castle in Franklinton.
Miss Jenkins is the granddaughter of Sandra Sue Soileau Rozas and Blyn Rozas, the late James Stacy Fontenot, Mary O’Connor Jenkins and Roy Jenkins, and the late Mary Elizabeth Deemy and Larry Deemy. She is the great-granddaughter of Anna Ruth Manual Soileau and the late Joseph Calvin Soileau; Laura Mae Fontenot Manuel and the late Dalbes Fontenot; the late Elma Vidrine O’Connor and William O’Connor, the late Winnie Kingrey Jenkins and Vernon Alflred Jenkins; the late Agnes Brown Deemy and Bernard Cecil Deemy; and the late Mary Annette Baygents and John Willie Baygents.
A 2010 graduate of Ovey Comeaux High School in Lafayette and 2013 graduate of South Louisiana Community College in Lafayette, she is currently employed as a medical biller provider with Provider Health Services in Lafayette.
Mr. Carter is the grandson of Gary Wayne and Kathryn Suzanne Beals Gibson and Cliff Dean and Susan Langford Carter.
A 2008 graduate of Ovey Comeaux High School in Lafayette, he is currently employed as a project coordinator with Oceaneering International in Lafayette.
