Mr. Smith, Miss Thomas plan July nuptials

The engagement of Miss Tamanesha Nicollette Thomas to Mr. Christopher Jermaine Smith, the son of James and Mary Smith of Pineville, has been announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lee Thomas Sr. of Chataignier.
The couple will exchange wedding vows Saturday, July 9 2016, during a 5 p.m. ceremony on the second floor Mezzanine of the Lake Charles Civic Center in Lake Charles. A reception will follow on the third floor in the Buccaneer Room.
Miss Thomas, a cum laude graduate of Grambling State University, is an eighth grade science teacher at Anderson Middle School in New Iberia. She is currently pursing a Masters of Arts in education at Louisiana College in Pineville.
Mr. Smith is currently pursuing a BS degree in social and behavioral sciences at Southern University and is employed with the Lafayette Consolidated Government as a counselor in the Juvenile Detention division.
