Minister’s Corner: A bright future

Have you noticed how many people are negative about everything that is taking place in the world? Well, regardless of what negative people say, the Bible plainly teaches that our future is bright. As the saying goes, “We may not know what tomorrow holds, but we know who holds tomorrow.” We can face the future with optimism, because God will be with us every step of the way. He tells us in His word, in Hebrews 13:5 KJV, “...I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Even when we face setbacks, and challenges, He is with us. And ultimately, we will be in His presence forever and ever. Until that day, we must keep our eyes on the big picture - thinking of life in terms of eternity, living in the moment and not for the moment and always, in faith, preparing to receive God’s best.
We can choose to face the future with optimism having put our trust and faith in the God who cannot fail, the God who loves us and protects us, and the God who’s word gives us the confidence knowing what awaits us by and by.
